Getting Started

Setting up DigitalFence is simple: 1) Download the app from Google Play Store on your child's device, 2) Create your parent account, 3) Follow the setup wizard to configure your protection settings. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.
DigitalFence works on Android devices running version 8.0 (API level 26) and above. This covers over 95% of active Android devices.
DigitalFence uses device administrator permissions to prevent unauthorized uninstallation. However, we recommend having an open conversation with your child about why protection is important rather than relying solely on technical restrictions.
You can manage DigitalFence from any device through our web dashboard or by downloading our parent app. The parent app provides convenient mobile access to all controls and notifications.

Privacy & Security

We collect only the data necessary for protection: app usage patterns, website visits, and device status. We never access personal content like messages, photos, or documents. All data is encrypted and stored securely.

Features & Functionality

Yes! DigitalFence supports flexible scheduling. You can create different screen time limits, bedtime schedules, and app restrictions for school days, weekends, holidays, and even specific dates.
DigitalFence includes an emergency override feature. Your child can bypass restrictions to contact emergency services or pre-approved emergency contacts. You'll be notified immediately when this feature is used.
Basic protection features (app blocking, screen time limits) continue to work offline. Web filtering, and remote management require an internet connection. Settings sync when connectivity is restored.
Absolutely! DigitalFence is designed for families. You can create age-appropriate profiles for each child with customized restrictions, bedtimes, and app allowances that grow with them.

DigitalFence is designed to have minimal impact on device performance. It uses less than 2% of system resources and doesn't significantly affect battery life. Most users don't notice any performance difference.
Simply install DigitalFence on the new device and log in with your existing account. All settings and rules will sync automatically. You can manage device transfers from your parent dashboard.
No, schools cannot access DigitalFence or your family's data. However, if your child's school has their own device management system, you may need to coordinate settings to avoid conflicts.
